So, if you’ve been using facebook for a while like most people, you will inevitably run into this issue. Your news feed is cluttered with junk that you don’t car about. Wether it be a random sale on sofa’s or a funny picture page that you liked that constantly floods your news feed with new pics. Sometimes it’s good to go into a New Year as clutter-free as possible.
Here are 5 ways you can clean up your Facebook News Feed:
1.) Unlike all of those “liked” pages.
This can be done by simply visiting your own profile and clicking the “likes” section towards the top, it should reveal all of those pages that you probably forgot that you liked in the first place. The more pages you unlike, the less clutter you will see in your news feed. It can be a bit tedious to unlike each page one by one… but I think it’s worth it.
2.) Block Invites from certain people
Almost all of us have a few people that constantly send us invites to events that we are not interested in. Most of the time, the events aren’t even in your town. In the privacy settings, under the blocking section, you will find that you can block invites from specific friends. This is especially good because you don’t have to unfriend them to stop their invites from appearing in your news feed.

3.) Block apps
Most people seem to be unaware that you don’t have to keep seeing tho
se farmsville game invites everytime they log into their myspace. In the privacy settings, under blocking, there is option that will allow you to block apps. After blocking an app, you will not receive invites for that particular app again.

4.)Unsubscribe from friends
Sometimes people post status updates a little too frequently. Luckily, facebook has implemented the Unsubscribe feature so that you no longer have to delete those friends. All you have to do is go to the users profile and click the
symbol and uncheck the “show in news feed” option.

5.) Use a Spam Blocker plugin for your Browser
The little ads on the right side of the screen can get annoying sometimes right? Well almost all modern browsers will allow you to install extensions or plugins. Personally, I use the AdBlock Plus extension for Chrome. But, you can also use this extension in Firefox, Safari, etc… It blocks those annoying google ads from every site I visit.
